Machan wildlife resort: Royal Chitwan National Park

Let Explore Himalaya take you where the Sal forest, of the Chitwan Jungle meets the wide and beautiful valley of the Rapti river, the world is wild and splendid and where the broad grassland sweeps north to the Mahabharata range and virgin jungle extends south to the Churia hills.

More than ninety Royal Bengal tigers share 996 square kilometers of the Park with the great India,, one-horned rhinoceros, leopard, sloth-bear and gaur [Indian Bison], with wild boar, sambar chital hog and barking deer and many smaller animals. For man, the privilege of seeing these animals in their world can, of course, be hard and dangerous One of the ways he has won this privilege is by building 'machans' concealed observation posts from which he can watch the life of the jungle in safety and comfort.
